Cat5e cable is supplied in 305M boxes. The boxes are commonly known as fast feed boxes as the Cat5e cable can be pulled from the box without snagging. The Cat5e cable is supplied in this quantity because, it originally came on the scene through AT&T in America and they work in feet. 1000ft boxes, what converted in to metric is 305M. The metre markings on this cat5e cable is perfect to ensure installation time is saved on site. Knowing what is left in a box can be critial when installations are tight against a budget, and having the Cat5e cable installed and on site, rather than put back in the stores is very important.

• Excel solid conductor Category 5e is an independently verified 4 pair UTP cable which conforms to the enhanced performance Category 5 specification. Boxes are supplied in a strong outer carton, clearly marked for on site identification. The outer carton provides protection for both the cable and inner packaging, and allows for easy storage, stacking and movement of goods. When installing simply remove the perforated letter carton strip from the box front and pull two cables as normal from the box. Where necessary the outer carton can be discarded and the inner - standard 305 metre reelex boxes - utilised.
